Space Energy Clearing: Ancient Wisdom in Modern Times

Space Energy Clearing is healing for houses, offices, and building where people live, work, and play. Eveline is an energetic, radiant, and highly intuitive woman. She refined her dowsing technique with the talented internationally known dowser David Stanger. She is an active member of an intentional spiritual community near Amherst, Mass., and practices SEC regionally. She came upon Space Energy Clearing after 30 years of dedicated research, meditation, and hands-on experience in a quest for a harmonious life.

"When you enter a house, building, or designate space," says Eveline, "you may feel peace, harmony, and a secure sense of order; or, you may feel chaotic and want to leave right away, and a whole range of responses in between. There are places where people may behave strangely, have outbursts of temper, fights, become ill, or act irrationally." Children, plants, or animals may be especially sick in these places. Her job is to make the space safe and free from unfortunate influences, and open to a flow of positive energy that invites health, growth, wealth, and happiness, as in the old tradition of feng shui. Just how does she do this?

I heard reports of her success from as far as Tucson, Arizona, and I asked to accompany her on one of her house clearing missions in Amherst, to witness for myself. She was quite willing to have me along, and I watched her as she confidently set out to discover why the house was a problem to its owners. This was a fascinating afternoon, one that I will not soon forget.

Eveline first took a crystal pendulum out of her sack and held it so that I could see it. The pendulum sparkled in the afternoon sun coming through the windows of the hundred-year-old house. She asked if it be the will of the "higher realms" to test and clear this site. A lovely quietness came over us and the room as the pendulum swayed back and forth in her hand, and I felt the "Yes" with a sense of grace. As the quietness deepened, Eveline gently asked for guidance from "the Light and my Guides" to effect the clearing. At this point I felt we were floating in some divine moment, and safe in this huge and empty house.

Eveline quickly reached into her sack and pulled forth two metal rods, bent at right angles, called "divining rods," and started to march down the length of the first floor. I watched as the rods turned and spun at different places, and as she took not of this carefully. "In dowsing, we know that there are negative bands of energy, sometimes called geopathic zones, that flow from deep within the earth, like invisible streams. These bands can be harmful to human health. I am identifying them now, precisely."

We followed the rods from front to back and side to side on all levels of the house from attic to basement and then outside, mapping the entire structure for negative energy zones. "Generally the areas fall into a grid pattern, although there is some meandering," she added.

The house was a mess energetically, she said. There were several 30-foot-wide bands of negative energy that stretched its entire length, as well as a "grand cross" of double negative energy that intersected at the front and back doors. Her simple comment was, "There is a lot of negative energy in here, more than usual. It may be partly due to the effect of the house being located at the dip of a sloping hill, where energy can collect and stagnate."

Interestingly, at the edges of the negative zones, there were large cracks up and down the walls and across the ceiling, almost as if they had been consciously drawn there with a ruler. Eveline said that it is very common that negative zones are associated with areas of a house that need repairs, have been burned by fire, or where there are cracks, peeling, buckles, or other damage.

Eveline put the rods down for a moment and reached into her magical sack for a roll of copper wire and a pair of needlenose pliers, along with her faithful pendulum. These ordinary implements now conveyed a sense of the sacred, like bells or incense carriers, in a temple setting. At this point I witnessed one of the most beautiful and most moving prayers I have ever heard. Eveline asked for the absolute protection of herself and any present, and asked to create an energy shield for us, so that we would not be contaminated, as she prepared to block the entry points for the negative zones.

What followed was a painstaking and meticulous locating of the entry points of the geopathic zones with rods and then asking the pendulum how many twists of wire to create a coil were necessary to block the flow. Usually 17 or 18 twists were required. Eight coils were placed, and at each placement a new prayer was given that would seal off any future negativity from this source form "now until eternity." At this point Eveline walked back and forth checking and double checking to see that the coils were properly installed and that no areas had been left open. This was hard work.

I have to admit the next part of the process freaked me out somewhat, in the sense that I had not anticipated anything like what happened. Eveline took on a very concentrated and focused demeanor, and her ordinary relaxed visage became very intense and fiery. She said she was going to do a Psychic Clearing, and she proceeded to call upon her Teacher and the angels. She asked to remove "all entities and negative energies from each room." She opened her third eye, and holding her hand up and out, "burned the space clean." At this time, I really could sense much movement and turmoil in the air, s if their were a swirling invisible fire in the house.

Afterwards I asked her about the "entities." She paused a long time before answering me. Then she remarked, "These beings are less conscious than humans. They are astral creatures. They like to cause disharmony, they like to scare people, they want an emotional reaction, and they want to cause trouble. They are lost and dwell in the old pathways of the earth." She reported three "major" entities that were living at the house, and that they were "cleared" and moved to another dimension. I asked her about the influences of shamanism in this section of the clearing, and she said that she had not studied shamanism that deeply, but that she relied on her intuition and vision, which is what shamans may do.

I felt exhausted, but she was by no means done. Now that the negative energy had been blocked and the unwanted beings removed, the space needed to be "renewed and filled with Light." This part was quite sweet and freeing, in contrast to the spooky nature of the earlier work. She went about the house, with hands open as "Laser Beams of Purity." She started to "spread the light all over the rooms from floors to ceilings." She called forth "radiant joyful light, blessings for great health, well being, love, joy, peace, happiness, abundance, prosperity, safety, and growth, blessing the house and all who would come there."

At last, after about three hours, we sat down in the newly cleared house, and Eveline said, "There is one more thing." I did not know what was to happen now. "I want to connect with the House Deva," the overlighting spirit of the house. We were quiet, and Eveline said, "This Presence has been sad, feeling empty and neglected, abandoned, but is now very happy, expectant, and welcoming. This being has been with the house since the beginning and is ready to accept people now. She/he will stay with the house and bless the new occupants."

When I checked back with the owners several weeks later, to see what had happened, they were amazed. They had not been able to find good renters to fill the house or an agent to manage it for over a year and a half. Within several weeks, one of the owners met some people "unexpectedly" at the site, and they had an instant rapport. The people expressed great enthusiasm for the house and were flexible and accommodated the particular needs of the owners. An agent manifested who was very sensitive to the needs of the owners and helped assume the many responsibilities of managing this house, with great skill. Now the house is full, providing an income for the owners and wonderful space for the renters. The owners are in a much better position, and the occupants are pleased. One of the tenants had been feeling sick and was "feeling better," now that he had moved in.

The Space Energy Clearing that Eveline Ashton has developed over the last 30 years is a tale of ancient wisdom in modern times. From what I had witnessed myself and tracked down from other sources, the work presents itself as one possible avenue for addressing causes of behavioral problems.
