Many Hands: When you are channeling, how does an answer come to you? Do you see something, hear something--or is it altogether different?
Jan Morris: Mostly, the information comes to me as thoughts. So, it is somewhat like hearing. Once in a while, I will get a vision in my head where I will see the client in a particular job or having a particular experience. I also feel emotions related to the client and I express those in the reading.
Many Hands: Do you ever get input when you aren't expecting it?
Jan Morris: No, I am rarely contacted by Spirit Guides when I'm not expecting, at least I'm not aware of it, except with my own Spirit Guides.
Many Hands: What's the most shocking thing that's happened to you doing this work?
Jan Morris: I am actually shocked every time I get confirmation of accuracy from my clients. It's such a leap of faith process for me and I'm always humbled by the experience.
Many Hands: Do you think your abilities could be learned, or is this something you're born with?
Jan Morris: This ability can definitely be learned. We can all tap into the Spirit realm. However, some are born with it and others come by it due to a difficult childhood or some traumatic experience in adulthood that caused them to focus in this way. It helps to have such a propensity for it.
Many Hands: Jan, what does it feel like when you are in that state of receiving?
Jan Morris: It feels like a subtle tingling in the arms just before they "go to sleep" or like a mild tingling of love softly swirling around and through the torso, head and arms.
Many Hands: Jan, your website, www.janniejoy.com, shares a series of interesting, short thoughts. I like very much, for instance, "May I feel the gentle pull of the river – not try to push it, shape it, harness it or stop it." I hope people find their way to you much as you found your way to channeling. And I see you also have a website for your creative work at http://www.redbubble.com/people/janniejoy .
