From fasts and juice diets to colonics, body detoxification comes in many forms – some of them taxing on the body. If you’re looking for a more gentle, yet still highly effective method for cleansing the body of impacted waste and toxins, consider an all natural herbal fiber cleanse. When combined with soothing and stimulating digestive herbs, fiber is a great way to detoxify the body.
The Reverend B. Anne Gehman
The Reverend B. Anne Gehman
by Polly Baumer
I first saw Anne Gehman on the Bob Braun Talk Show in Columbus, OH, in 1975. She went through the audience and told people things about themselves and their loved ones, especially the ones who had passed away, that clearly shocked them. A Spiritualist medium, Anne has the ability to see and communicate with the dead.
Three years after the show, I had my first reading with Anne. It was the beginning of a long friendship and the remarkable unfolding of events that would change my life. The whole story will be told in what I hope is an upcoming book. In the meantime, here is one of the stories that happened most recently (February 15, 2004).
The Red Necktie
When my father died in August of 2000, I took home some keepsakes that were especially meaningful me. One of them was a red tie. My great grandfather, my grandfather and I all shared the name 'Fraser' as a middle name and this particular tie was a Fraser tartan that my father had bought in Scotland. I can only think of one time that I actually saw him with the tie on. It was during a Christmas vacation and because it was red and green it looked kind of Christmas-y.
I have a long-time interest in Spiritualism largely because of my friendship with medium Anne Gehman. I was hopeful that at some point she might be able to "make contact" with him. If you think of a whole lifetime with someone it's not hard to see that there are hundreds of things-phrases, items, names, events, dynamics, circumstances, etc.-that I could have used as proof of contact. There were some very personal things that "tied" me to my dad, including a painting that hangs in his study that he and I both loved, and a Fraser scarf he bought me, but I chose the tie as the ONE thing that would verify any communication from the "next world."
I placed the tie by my computer where I knew I would see it everyday, but it was tucked away in a spot that no one else would ever notice. After a couple months, when I had become a little more accustomed to the idea that he was gone, I started to think about contacting a medium, even my friend, Anne, but I didn't do it . . . I think because I was afraid it wouldn't work and I'd have to change my whole world view. Nonetheless, I never told anyone about the tie because it was the only way I could be sure that it was really Dad talking through the medium if it was ever mentioned.
Recently my sister has been having some trouble with her business and after consulting several business experts, the problem still was not solved. I suggested getting a reading from Anne. I expected her to decline, but instead she signed up for a reading which she had yesterday.
I told her not to give Anne any information about anything . . . even inadvertently. I told her I was waiting for a specific piece of information from Dad and that I couldn't tell her what it was, but that if nothing about Dad came up in the reading, she should ask about him at the very end with a vague question like, "Can you tell me anything about my father?"
Anne said nothing about him during the reading so my sister asked her about him at the end. She took a long time responding, then she said, "He's smiling and pointing to his red necktie. He says, "Tell her about the necktie."
